Si
quieres vivir más de un siglo, Dody Patterson tiene un consejo para ti en la
forma de un par de palabras de cuatro letras: dieta y tejer.
"Bueno,
creo que es mi secreto, hace unos 20 años, dejé de comer carne de cerdo y la

empecé a tejer. Y creo que mi dieta y mi tejido, son responsables de mi
longevidad ".
Patterson,
quien recientemente cumplió 104, ha estado tejiendo desde que su bisabuela le
enseñó cuando era una niña de West Texas, tenia 7 años de edad.
"Me
encanta, ya que mantiene las manos y los brazos y los hombros ejercido",

Patterson, who recently turned 104, has been weaving since her grandmother taught her when she was a girl in West Texas, was 7 years old.
"I love it because it keeps the hands and arms and shoulders exercised," Patterson said, sitting in her room at the Good Samaritan service center in Hilyard Street in south Eugene, a pinch of Texas accent still in its voice. "And my brain is ejercitandoce".
It also helps maintain a local program called Caps for Kids running smoothly year after year.
